Back for the Winter Season!

Greetings everyone! I must say 2020 was a terrible year for me but I’m sure you’ve heard this story many times from many others. With the blessing of surviving thus far, I’m more inclined to get back to what I enjoy doing: Watching and talking/writing about anime. I noticed that during my time of absence, my page has been slowly growing despite my lack of content. I aim to return to form and grow my page even further. I wont bore you with my site goals but I will give you a heads up on what I will writing about this Winter season. Also you can expect manga and breakdowns in between these posts! Thank you for support thus far, let’s continue!

Beastars [Season 2]

The Furry Fiesta

If you haven’t read my thoughts on the first season, check it out here. Short story, I’m a huge fan of this show. I commented that the ending felt a little “jump-sharky” but I was interested to see where take the story would go from here. I hope Paru Itagaki(writer) retains the authentic feel of drama, like in season 1. Cant wait!

Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken [Season 2]

Another Season for one of the Isekai Kings

Now I love this story in manga form, but havent felt the need to watch the anime. I started watching season one to catch up due to many recommendations. I will be covering the title and use it to speak on things that I would have otherwise made eventually regarding the manga. Two birds, one slime!

Jimihen!!: Jimiko wo Kaechau Jun Isei Kouyuu!!

More than Ecchi?

So here’s my random pick. I know nothing about this title and have only seen the trailer…BUT…. I’m going to roll the dice in hopes that Jimihen will be a surprise drama/romance tale. I hope this isn’t just a smutty anime and, has some emotion to it. I’m a sucker for the “coming out of my shell,” type of stories. I cant help it, I’m not just a man of action and fantasy, but also a man of passion…..So, um, moving on!

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu [Season 2 – Part 2]

Guess Who’s back? Back Again?

This is a given! Not much to say about Re:zero besides I’m buckling in. I covered the entire previous season, so if you haven’t read seen my prior posts, please check them out. I stayed away from any theory posts and videos, I want to go in cold and ready for whatever Re:zero is going to throw at me. My hopes for this season is that Subaru grows in power, I think it’s time for him to be more reliable on his first attempts. I also hope the anime does not ignore the lessons he’s learned from the witches last season. I do not want to see more of Subaru throwing his life away over and over to solve the problem. I get it, that’s the twist of the anime, but when the anime itself tells our protagonist that he shouldn’t do everything so recklessly, I would love to see the sentiment mean something going forward.

Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu (Jobless Reincarnation)

The story of Ages… Literally

I was ecstatic when I heard Mushoku Tensei was getting an anime. There are plenty of iconic moments that I would love to see animated. Speaking of animation, this anime’s art style looks amazing. I personally would have not chosen such an intense look because I feel the manga has just as many light hearted moments as it does heavy ones. Either way, I look forward to seeing how they capture these characters whom I’ve known for years now. High expectations!

Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi (Redo a Healer)

Most misleading cover ever!

Now come on… You know I couldn’t ignore this. I’m sure my readers recall my review on the two ongoing revenge mangas with, “Redo a Healer,” being one of them. I have… absolutely no idea how they plan to tell this story considering how graphic the manga is. To put it into perspective, Goblin Slayer received a lot of flack for a vaguely animated goblin rape scene. Let’s just say, Redo a Healer makes the edgy Goblin slayer series look like a BeyBlade featuring only virgin nuns. We’ll just have to see, but one way or another, I expect this anime to leave a mark on the winter season.

So there you have folks! *Looks up*

Ara, ara, that’s a lot of coverage! I hope to hear from you all as everything starts rolling out. Until next time!
