The Last Exorcist -Ender Geister (Ongoing)

A beuatifully Possesed Gem

While there may be a plethora of dumpster-fire manga that I sift through daily, nothing quite beats that moment when you come across something that lights up your eyes and hooks you. For me, it may have been Sun-Ken Rock, Yuyu-Hakusho, or something like Dandadan. Today, however, I wish to share with you my most recent fix, Ender Geister. It’s Blue Exorcist meets Cowboy Bebop; has a nice ring to that sting.

Manga Spotlight: Dandadan (Ongoing)

Another Shounen Jump Hit

As I got older, I began to consider Shounen Jump, the “kiddie pool” of anime hits. This was in part due to many of the anime I grew up with, (Naruto, Bleach, Dragonball Z) all seeming more heavily flawed story-wise in their later years. These things happen. Shounen Jump is popular for many reasons but even I cannot deny it, if you’re on SJ lineup, you’re probably a hit! This brings us to the topic of the post, the weird, the strange, and the ballsy; Dandadan! This is a story of two unlikely students being unlikely heroes, while possibly being high off hallucinogenics.

“Please Dont Bully Me, Nagatoro!” (Ongoing)

Beauty and the Dweeb

So, you remember in school when the popular girl would pick on you because she secretly liked you? I know, me neither, that whole thing is a myth! The only way to get that girl’s attention was to do a Powerline-Stand-Out performance, and maybe she will learn your name… Did I just make a Goofy Movie reference? Well, let’s stay on topic now, it’s time to discuss the “Beauty and the Dweeb” fantasy that manga loves to push out.

First off, I’m let’s start off with the more popular one, the teasing- or rather bullying queen herself: Nagatoro. Now everyone loves Nagatoro for some odd reason, but she has cemented herself as an anime staple. Not everyone will know who she is, but everyone has seen her before. I say all this because, for the most part, I don’t really care for Nagatoro.

*Cue gasps*

Now hear me out…

Redo Of Healer (Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi) Episode 1

Already hoping for a Redo

Well, I didn’t expect the best first impression, but gee-golly I was sure expecting something more. Let me prefix this by saying, I had a hard time writing about this first episode of Redo a Healer. I was first confused by the underwhelming animation, thinking perhaps my stream was buffering or something. Then I was taken back by how the anime chose to set up it’s first episode. By not embellishing in the protagonist’s mistreatment, it loses a good amount of investment from the viewers. In the manga it did the same somewhat, but when you have the freedom of animation, use it to your advantage!

Back for the Winter Season!

Greetings everyone! I must say 2020 was a terrible year for me but I’m sure you’ve heard this story many times from many others. With the blessing of surviving thus far, I’m more inclined to get back to what I enjoy doing: Watching and talking/writing about anime. I noticed that during my time of absence, my page has been slowly growing despite my lack of content. I aim to return to form and grow my page even further. I wont bore you with my site goals but I will give you a heads up on what I will writing about this Winter season. Also you can expect manga and breakdowns in between these posts! Thank you for support thus far, let’s continue!

The Unexplored Complexity of Peter Grill’s Betrayals

No sympathy for the unfaithful

I find the behavior of Peter interesting because it’s possible that the comedy anime is going for a deep ending. For those unaware, PETER GRILL AND THE PHILOSOPHER’S TIME is anime/manga that follows the worlds strongest man whom is being chased by a slew of very determined women, to get his seed. In his first interaction with two lovely ogres, they constantly pressure him for his seed in order to birth the strongest ogre. He finally gives in to their advances, beginning his descent into darkness.

Revenge/Torture Manga : “The Hero Who Seeks Revenge Shall Exterminate With Darkness” & “Redo Of Healer” (Ongoing Manga)

Disclaimer: Okay, before we start, these revenge stories are not for the faint of heart. They are gory, violent, morally abusive. and sexually uncomfortable. If Mortal Kombat fatalities makes you look away, then these may not be for you. Okay? Okay! So, I have two revenge manga that have a lot in common, therefore I’ll put both in the same post.

“Maou Ni Natta Node Dungeon Tsukutte Jingai Musume To Honobono Suru” (Ongoing Manga)

A Second Life
